Bulk Wine & Blending Operative

About The Role

You will be a key member of a multi-disciplined Bulk Wine and Blending team liaising with the Quality, Packaging and Scheduling teams to maintain bulk wine liquid availability.   Accountable for product quality and process performance and to assist in achieving continuous performance improvements. You will plan and prepare tanks and equipment as necessary to receive wines and process blended liquids as scheduled to meet the packaging plan whilst minimising waste and conforming to regulations.

About The Role - Your Key Accountabilities

•    To liaise with logistics over the scheduling of wines in line with the availability of tanks
•    To liaise and communicate with the packaging and technical departments over the availability of wine
•    To operate assigned equipment and plant ensuring optimum dept performance is achieved at minimum cost and waste
•    Responsible for all quality standards and testing of the product ensuring expected levels are achieved.  To fully support and assist in relation to all quality matters and testing
•    To work within the framework of the agreed team principles, fully supporting the Team Leader and working towards the achievement of the team objectives
•    To identify and assist in rectification of root causes of the running faults within the machinery
•    To ensure that the equipment is maintained and serviced, to continually improve efficiency and improvements to plant and business processes
•    To ensure all levels of safety within the department are maintained to the correct standard
•    Enter relevant data into business system interfaces (JDE, MIS, Red Prairie etc)

About You - Required Experience

Relevant experience within a production environment, preferably FMCG
