The Beckford Bottle Shop Bath is an independent wine shop & bistro with Michelin Bid Gourmand specialising in cheese, charcuterie, British small plates and of course a wonderful range of wine. (www.beckfordbottleshop.com)
Our shop offers over 300 wines and, even though we are still only a relatively young business, we have started to become established within Bath & surrounding areas for our interesting range and a focus on great service & hospitality. Our selection is broad & encompasses value, classics, fine & natural wine as well as an eclectic mix which we rotate to maintain a fresh and interesting offer.
We are seeking a wine focused manager to join our dynamic team. The role will encompass shop management, wine ordering, range selection & promotion linked to a focus on staff development & training. As we are a mixed-use premises, the role will require evenings shifts on rota and some experience in a front of house capacity - ultimately we seek candidates who embrace our concept and are adaptable, warm and hospitable - we can teach the rest.
The ideal candidate will have at least WSET Level 2 (preferably Level 3 or above) and a genuine passion with expereince building ranges and managing distributors. A strong gasp on financial controls and managing stock.
We are a small team with a strong sense of camaraderie, so a sense of humour and a desire to work with and develop the existing team is important.

C. £25,000 + Bonus (Flexible based on experience)
