Simpsons’ Wine Estate creates award-winning, estate-grown, English wines, which reflect the exquisite characteristics of their iconic, chalk terroir in the North Downs of Kent.  The Estate is currently recruiting for harvest cellar hands to join our fun and vibrant team for the 2022 vintage.  


 The role will include, but not be limited to: fruit reception – press loading and emptying, racking and wine transfers, ferment inoculations and chaptalisation, tank and equipment cleaning, general cellar work with some laboratory analysis.

 We are seeking candidates with the following skills and availability: 

-       A strong team-working ethos and ability to adapt quickly to new tasks.

-       Previous harvest experience with confidence in their ability to undertake the tasks outlined above, and a reasonable level of fitness.

-       Analytical and numerate with meticulous attention to detail and hygiene in the work environment.

-       Forklift licence or experience is desirable and winemaking qualifications are welcomed. 

-       Availability from mid-September until early November and willingness to work extended or antisocial hours as required.

 -       The right to legally work in the UK.


Salary will be competitive and commensurate with experience.  Harvest performance could result in the offer of a longer-term opportunity.
