Harvest Cellar Hand

Highweald is a modern, luxury, English wine producer. We make the finest quality traditional sparkling wine, evidenced by our recent haul of three trophies at the International Wine Challenge. We have significant plans for growth and strong financial backing to ensure we deliver. We are building a world-class hospitality suite at our home vineyard in Sussex and have recently begun to sell our wines to trade and direct to consumers.
We are looking for Cellar Hands for the 2022 harvest.
You will gain exposure to the entire winemaking process for still and sparkling wine and be given full training on all equipment.
We offer a great team environment, decent meals, beer and wine allowance and a good rate of pay.
Duties include:
Performing cellar operations, including:
Press operation, juice transfer, inoculation, fermentation additions and monitoring, barrel work, sanitation, cellar organisation and cleaning.
Desired Skills & Experience Requirements include:
- Previous work in a winery or similar environment.
- Good English, both verbal and written.
- Be able to lift and carry 25kg.
- Flexible and happy to work a varied schedule during the harvest period.
- Eligible to work in UK.
