Quality Control Executive & Wine Educator
An exciting opportunity to work with a TV Channel and OTT platform dedicated to Fine Wine. Launched by 67 Pall Mall, a Private Members’ Club founded by wine lovers, for wine lovers, 67pallmall.tv is a specialist streaming channel with great ambitions, offering the opportunity to its viewers to taste wine alongside wine experts and winemakers around the world.
We are looking for a Wine Educator & Quality Control Executive to join our team. The role is ideally suited to someone with wine knowledge looking to work with some of the best wines in the world.
The role would also involve organising and hosting private virtual events, with the opportunity to make appearances on the channel.
Responsibilities:
Wine Tasting Kits – wine stock management & bottling
v Checking the correct spelling & layout (names, appellations, vintages) of all wines in our database
v Tasting the wines prior to bottling and making sure they are not faulty and are in good condition.
v Bottling the wines with Argon gas
v Monthly stock take
v Wastage monitoring
v Correct handling of the wines and storage
v Communication & reporting on the bottling and wine stocks with the cellar, logistics and production teams
TV Studio – wine management
v Coordination between the cellar and buying teams and the production team for wins and spirits needed for shoots in the studios
v Preparing the wines/spirits and their appropriate glassware for shoots in the studios
Private virtual events – organisation & hosting
v Handling private virtual event requests
v Working with the buying & cellar teams to confirm wine selection with the guests
v Working with the buying & logistic teams to confirm pricing with the guests
v Creating presentations and hosting events on Zoom
Qualifications and requirements:
v WSET diploma level (being a WSET certified educator would be a plus)
v Excellent communication skills - both verbal and written
v The ability to maintain and set processes and standards
v A willingness to learn and grow within the business
