Born in 2003 with the aim of unearthing the undiscovered wine gems of Italy, Passione Vino has grown from a small independent wine importer into two unique wine bars and shops in Shoreditch and Exmouth Market.

Wine is at the heart of what we do, but Passione Vino is also about hospitality, personality and creating an experience that feels different from a traditional wine bar.

We are looking for a part-time team member with a genuine passion for hospitality and a good intermediate knowledge of wine to join our team.

You don't need to know everything, but you should already feel comfortable talking about wine, understanding different styles and regions, and helping customers choose a bottle or glass based on what they enjoy. Knowledge of Italian wine is a big plus, but most importantly, we're looking for someone curious and eager to keep learning.

We're looking for someone with a warm, engaging personality who enjoys talking to people, brings good energy to a shift and wants to be part of a small, independent and passionate team.

The role

• Welcome guests and create the relaxed, personal style of hospitality Passione Vino is known for

• Guide customers through our wine selection and confidently recommend wines based on their tastes

• Serve wine and food and provide attentive, knowledgeable service

• Develop a strong understanding of our producers, regions and wines

• Help with the day-to-day running of the wine bar and shop

• Keep the bar and shop organised, clean and looking its best

• Help drive wine sales through genuine recommendations and great customer service

• Support private events, wine tastings and parties

• Work independently when required while being a reliable and supportive member of the wider team

• Be open to tasting, discovering and learning about wines you may never have come across before

About you

You will ideally have previous experience working in a wine bar, restaurant or wine-focused hospitality environmentand already have an intermediate understanding of wine.

A WSET qualification is a plus, but not essential. Practical knowledge, curiosity and the ability to communicate about wine naturally with customers are more important to us.
