It's rare... but we're recruiting a new Front of House member of the Rendezvous team! This widely-acclaimed independent city centre wine bar and restaurant has an excellent reputation amongst local foodies and wine lovers alike, as well as with the professionals of the Southernhay offices and law courts who frequent us at lunchtime.
The position we have available is a full time role, both waiting tables on the floor and working behind the wine bar. A perfect candidate will have consistently high standards, high energy levels and enjoy working in a small close team. They must be well-presented, well-organised, friendly, efficient and an excellent communicator. Above all they should be passionate about delivering the best customer service possible, wish to take pride in presenting delicious locally-sourced food to happy customers, and should thrive in a busy environment. An interest in wine would be a great bonus of course, but wine training will be provided. We are lucky to have lovely customers and it makes the job so much more rewarding when you know your efforts and knowledge are appreciated!
Previous experience in a similar restaurant both serving on the floor and behind the bar is essential, as we have a small close-knit team here and each person is highly valued. It may be a cliché but we work together more like a family here, and it's a very happy, satisfying working environment, with little staff turnover.
This role involves 30+ hrs a week, often split shifts over 5 days, Monday - Saturday, with shifts between 11am and midnight (approx). Sundays and bank holiday mondays always off as we're closed. Excellent rates of pay, plus a share of the tips.
