International Sales Executive (Wine Jobs: Sales & Marketing)

A dynamic wine company based in Wiltshire in the South West of England. We are a leading wine importer, producer, and brand owner. We work with vineyards and wineries across southern France, Provence and Italy. Bijou Wine supply exciting and innovative wines directly to supermarkets, wholesalers and distributors in more than 30 Countries throughout the world.

We have a fantastic opportunity for you to become a wine trade professional and to develop marketing and sales skills. You will grow into taking on an all-round role with a small and forward-thinking company. You will be responsible for most aspects of account management and for developing new business and finding new customers. You will be confident, enthusiastic and ambitious with excellent communication and numeracy skills. Proactive, you will take ownership of your own workload. This is a great opportunity to express your creativity and will involve travel and vineyard visits.

Sales development

Your responsibilities will include:

·         Account management

·         Prospecting new business

·         Meeting sales and profit targets

·         New business development in your designated international markets

·         Wine range analysis to understand your customers’ requirements and spot sales opportunities

·         Database management


Supplier liaison / Product Development

·         Liaising with suppliers on wine styles, arranging samples and resolving servicing issues.

·         New product development and brand creation

·         Assisting in arranging new label designs and concepts

·         Contribution to website content


Skills & Experience

·         Qualified to degree level in languages, marketing, business or an associated management course

·         Fluent in French and English (German is also desirable)

·         Interest in wine, travel and foreign culture

·         Good numeracy skills

·         IT Skills – Microsoft Office 365 package experience essential

·         Excellent communication, presentation and written skills



·         Able to travel independently

·         Wine knowledge

·         Good team player



Attractive package which is subject to experience. Bonus incentive scheme and annual salary review. Relevant training to secure progression in the company. The position is home based with occasional head office visits. The successful applicant will work from home which can be anywhere in Europe with good communications links and will be required to make occasional head office and market visits.
