About the role – Key Accountabilities 

  • Prepare, and gain approval of, annual brand plans that will deliver the 1 and 3 year strategic portfolio plans in terms of profit (GP, CAM) and volume.
  • Ensure all UK plans have the approval / support of the global brand owners where relevant.
  • Work with Customer Marketing and Sales teams to ensure that the marketing plans are presented to key customers at timely points in the calendar (i.e. annual JBP planning time).
  • Champion the category and brands portfolio internally, through appropriate presentations, attendance at key meetings, and ongoing internal communication
  • Champion the consumer at every level in the business ensuring our brands are at the forefront of consumers minds, trade customers minds and most importantly, integrally!  Measure success by monitoring against key consumer metrics (loyalty, awareness and propensity to purchase) where relevant.
  • Be responsible for monitoring and reviewing the market and competitor brands to ensure that the brand positioning is differentiated and relevant.
  • Take responsibility for brand P&Ls and propose course correction strategies where necessary.
  • Set the SSPs for the portfolio of responsibility and work with Customer Marketing to execute these recommendations via the sales teams.
  • Work cross functionally to deliver NPD / EPD and TTL plans with compelling rationale and justification from both a consumer and customer perspective.
  • Work closely with the wine development team to produce wines that fit the brand proposition and our target consumers taste profiles.
  • Manage external agencies and work with them to develop integrated plans that reflect the brand positioning and drive the commercial objectives.
  • Continually review brand performance and recommend adjustments to the plans as necessary.
  • Manage the marketing budget within the agreed levels.
  • Proactively manage, motivate and develop direct reports to ensure personal development and fulfilment of role / objectives.

About you

You will have a minimum of 5-7 years experience in FMCG brands marketing environment and ideally will have worked within the drinks industry.

You will have the flexibility to work out of office hours to accommodate the occasional call with our Australian colleagues and have the ability to travel to our Accolade Park site near Bristol,  if required.

About the offer

Salary up to £45,000 per annum dependent on experience plus excellent benefits and staff wine allowance.
