Vineyard Technical Officer | West Sussex 

Our client is a famous and award winning producer of the finest English sparkling wine. We are now seeking at Vineyard Technical Officer to assist the Vineyard Manager in ensuring that only the highest quality grapes are grown for wine production. 

You will do this by collecting technical data and analysing this data across a number of sites, monitoring for pests and diseases, managing quality control systems and assisting in general vineyard operations. Another element of your job will be to educate and train staff in best practices of vineyard management, ensuring that these practices are adopted throughout the growing side of the business.  

Ideally, you will have a strong knowledge of viticulture and at least two years' experience of working on a vineyard in a technical role. We will however consider those who have worked in a similar role with a similar crop (eg. tomatoes). Certainly, you will have a degree in viticulture/agriculture/horticulture and a strong knowledge of pesticides, herbicides and fertilisers.
