RETAIL TEAM POSITION (Wine Jobs: Wine Retail & Sommelier)

Established in 1960, Hennings Wine Merchants are a third generation family business based in Sussex with four retail shops, a thriving wholesale business and a rapidly growing Web business.

We are looking to find a fantastic candidate to join our award winning retail team.

Key skills and requirements will include:

  • Outstanding communication and customer service skills;
  • Sales instinct and ability to help grow retail sales;
  • A professional attitude and image coupled with a warm and friendly manner and a sense of humour;
  • A real passion and knowledge of wine with ideally WSET Level 3 qualification or above;
  • Excellent numeracy, with good Excel and written communication skills;
  • IT literate to utilise our in house EPOS system and administration;
  • A high level of integrity, reliability and trustworthiness together with a positive, driven and self-motivating attitude;
  • Ability to thrive under pressure and problem solve in a fluid environment;
  • Great organisational skills and attention to detail as well as being energetic and physically fit; and
  • Attend and help organise tasting events.
