English Terroir is a Winemaking Consultancy across the South East of England. We are looking for a competent Assistant Winemaker for the coming harvest to be based in one of our client’s wineries- a boutique wine producer situated near Pulborough in West Sussex, producing a range of still and sparkling wines. 

The successful applicant needs to be experienced in all routine cellar operations, and able to follow detailed instructions and take responsibility. This is a small scale family run vineyard, maximum 50 Tons of fruit, and therefore the job requires very hands on involvement in all aspects of the winery, vineyard and harvest.

We are looking for someone with enthusiasm and passion to make great wines. England is a challenging climate in which to grow grapes, but we have consistently proved it is possible to achieve outstanding results. This is a great opportunity for someone wanting broader harvest experience with both responsibility and expert guidance.

 

Salary will depend on experience but will be around £500 per week. We cannot offer accommodation but would assist with finding something local if the successful applicant needs it.
