The company:
Clark Foyster Wines is an independent specialist importer based in West London. We are a small business working directly with a portfolio of top producers and have an enviable customer list with high profile on-trade, off-trade and national accounts. We’ve seen consistent growth and we now need a new team member to help us manage this.
The role:
This is a fantastic opportunity to learn about all aspects of a dynamic wine business. You will work closely with our MD, Lance Foyster MW, and your principal role will be to help him manage his time and his inbox and take on some of his workload. This means close involvement with suppliers, with customers, with press and other partners. You will also be looking after office supplies and expenses. You will also play an important role in marketing, including events, database management, social media, newsletters. We are a small team and you will be expected to be a flexible and responsive team member.
The candidate:
You must be extremely well-organised and you will have strong commercial awareness. You will be friendly and approachable but highly professional, with a good understanding of customer service. You will be flexible, good at multi-tasking, at prioritising competing demands and you will have plenty of initiative and a practical approach to problem-solving. You will be numerate and able to demonstrate meticulous attention to detail. You will have good wine knowledge and IT skills especially Office, CRM systems and email marketing systems. Your written and spoken English will be perfect and you will ideally have a decent level of written and spoken French.
You will have:
- Previous experience in office administration
- Strong interest in wine and a good basic knowledge
- Excellent customer service skills
- Excellent communication skills – spoken and written
- The right to work in the UK
