Logistics Manager (Wine Jobs: Management & Administration)

Who we are looking for:

The Logistics Manager will play a critical role in supporting purchasing and will be responsible for daily inventory reconciliations of our internal wine assets across a global footprint of 3rd party wine and spirits warehouses. This position will ensure systematic data accuracy and optimize the overall warehousing.The inventory manager will work closely with our external partners as well as a wide range of internal stakeholders in Operations, Engineering, Sales, and Marketing.

The responsibilities of this position include leading the inventory control effort and taking corrective actions when deviations occur, performing root cause analysis on inventory anomalies as well as improving inventory control processes. The Logistics Manager will oversee and manage all activities related to inventory audits and will research any shortage and overage claims from customers, or purchasing. They will be the primary contact regarding all inventory movement and inquiries and will work with suppliers to handle inventory issues, transfers or transit claims, and quality control issues.

As Vinovest continues to grow, the Logistics Manager will lead the rollout of the new inventory system, using experience to influence the implementation.

What you’ll do:

• Manage and grow existing and new relationships with our partner warehouses, 3PL providers, suppliers, and clients

• Develop best practices and SOPs for storage and shipping

• Research and develop new relationships with wine storage partners and shipping partners

• Manage all shipping requests between suppliers, customers, and partners

• Receive, liaise, and fulfil duty paid or underbond customer purchase orders each day from accounts around the world

• Communicate and coordinate with the Sales team and customers to ensure orders are correctly fulfilled and queries resolved

• Oversee weekly stock takes and stock management·

• Manage and audit Vinovest inventory via internal systems and software

• Generate relevant data for the sales and marketing team to analyse, report and plan parts of their daily work

• Managing the company’s supply chain to ensure the seamless delivery of products to our wide customer base

What you have:

• 5+ years of experience in Inventory Management and Logistics

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business or related field

• 3+ years experience in the Wine and Spirits Industry

• Expert proficiency in excel (can perform complex functions)

• Practical data analysis experience with the ability to act on performance metrics

• Highly effective interpersonal skills necessary for developing trusted relationships at all levels internally and externally

• Strong verbal and written communication skills

• Exceptional attention to detail

• Strong work ethic and willingness to learn

• Preferred candidate resides in the UK with easy access to London
