Senior Product Manager - That Boutique-y Drinks Company (Wine Jobs: Sales & Marketing)

Full Time

  Atom Brands

  Tonbridge, England

Are you passionate about craft spirits?  Would you like to work with a team of equally passionate craft spirit evangelists and one of the fastest growing craft brands on planet earth to bring these liquids from creation to customer?  Well, we may just have your perfect job!

We are looking for a Product Manager with proven experience to join us in our dynamic and growing brand business, which defies convention and was recently named in the Sunday Times Fast Track 100.

About Us

Atom Brands is the product development and manufacturing business unit within Atom Group which also includes Maverick Drinks (UK distribution) and Master of Malt (global online retail). Our brands include Ableforth’s (Bathtub Gin), That Boutique-y Whisky Co, That Boutique-y Gin Co, That Boutique-y Rum Co, The Blended Whisky Co, Origin Single Botanical Gin, The Handmade Cocktail Co, 1897 Quinine Gin and Darkness!

In the last 5 years, our brands have won dozens of global awards (World’s Best - Blended Whisky, Blended Malt, Grain Whisky, Liqueur, Gin, Spiced Rum & Pre-mixed Cocktail - many on multiple occasions) regularly triumphing in blind tastings against some of the world’s largest and longest-established products from businesses three orders of magnitude larger than ours. This speaks to our no-compromise approach to creation and crafting. We make the best - we don’t work backwards from price-points or seek to ‘fill gaps’.

Job Purpose

To own the delivery of an exciting line of new to world and existing brand extensions within the Boutique-y Drinks Company range, and share in the ownership of the birth of some of our most exciting products to date.

Essentials of the job

  • Stewardship of the Boutique-Y product pipeline, working with the Global Head of Brands (Boutique-y Drinks), the NPD and the marketing team on the fast-paced delivery of industry-leading product development and launches.
  • Project manage a number of new to world Boutique-y liquids, controlling the scoping of production, legal and pack format development, sometimes in a foreign market.
  • Align and inform internal and external stakeholders (design, NPD, procurement, sales and marketing), whilst dealing with large amounts of ambiguity, to bring about successful product launches and continued delivery of brand growth.
  • Weave the brand guidelines into every aspect of the product management, ensuring that you hold both yourself and your colleagues to account where it matters.
  • Develop the commercial proposition to take to market, to engage brand owners and retailers alike.
  • Work with our liquid buyers to create a robust workstream for bringing the best liquids to market, as well as engaging with liquid producers to create long-lasting partnerships.
  • Lead the price positioning conversation in order to go to market with the best possible value for both the business and consumer.
  • Develop briefs into the marketing team to outline liquid credentials and convey the authentic stories of the producers.
  • You will be responsible for the ownership of some of the new projects, from sourcing through to bottling, and will be required to project manage the infrastructure and set up of some of the brands.
  • Provide input into the global brand plans for the That Boutique-y Drinks Company brand and overall Atom Brands business strategy.
