Overall Job Purpose
Support the Email & Digital Experience Manager to deliver the full calendar of email activities via detailed briefings, reporting, analysis and reforecasting across relevant Direct Wines’ brands. Work with both the Email & Digital Experience Manager, Email Design Manager and Email Developers to optimise product propositions and email templates, working to email design/setup best practices. Manage day-to-day requests around emails e.g. unsubscribers, updating seedlists, etc. This role will also be responsible for supporting the execution of key projects around triggered/transactional activity and integration projects with email and relevant business platforms.
Key Responsibilities
Job responsibilities:
• Co-ordinate full email briefing process in conjunction with product planning meetings and the email calendar
• Co-ordinate process of email creation, through to sign-off and send, of emails. Manage sign-off with associated agency(s) and relevant team members
• Work with Customer Marketing contacts to ensure consistency and clear communication across activity
• Own the email calendar of activities and advise on opportunities/availability
• Responsibility for verifying final setup and send of emails are to brief and error-free
• Reporting support - analyse creative tests/produce detailed individual email analysis to be submitted at regular intervals to the Email & Digital Experience Manager. Includes daily management and updates of overall email reporting sheet + weekly updates into our Global Marketing System.
• Evaluate landing page performance and advising options for optimisation
• Co-ordinate creation/execution of key email projects e.g. Triggered campaigns/dynamic product personalisation, data mapping into ESP, etc Direct Wines Role Profile
• Co-ordinate template optimisation with Email Graphic Designer (inc. Mobile Optimisation)
• Co-ordinate and manage email updates/stock issues, etc in conjunction with Email & Digital Experience Manager
• Data co-ordination/uploads (as required)
• Manage work on other Digital Channels as required e.g. Managing SMS creation and setup
• Work with U.S. and Australia teams to share learnings and optimise emails
• Keep abreast of industry best practice, new techniques and competitor activity in relation to email design, providing a summary with suggestions for incorporation into planning meetings
• Support Email & Digital Experience Manager as required
• Monthly Budget invoice support
Qualifications
• Educated to degree standard or equivalent preferred but not essential depending on experience
Essential Skills
• Previous experience working with Email
• Previous experience of creating and executing briefs to strict deadlines
• Understanding of Dynamic content in emails
• Previous hands-on ESP experience/knowledge
• Impeccable organisational skills and the ability to multi-task
• Ability to provide regular reports / insight to the business on Email performance and recommendations
• Ability to provide useful insight from test result data
• Ability to problem solve and co-ordinate with technical teams to achieve desired goals
• Ability to influence creative to achieve desired goals/conversions (creative design / email layout / banner production)
• Excellent time management skills
• Excellent attention to detail
• Works well under pressure
Desirable Skills
• Retail/eCommerce background
• Design/Creative skills (image manipulation / email layout / banner production)
• Good technical knowledge of email design techniques and triggered email setups / logic
• Email best practice knowledge
• Knowledge of triggered emails
• CMS experience
