Chapel Down are looking for a permanent full-time cellarhand to help in the winery in Tenterden, Kent. We are a medium sized winery crushing 1500-2000 tons whole bunch for traditional method sparkling, carbonated sparkling and still white and rose wines. We’re looking for someone with a positive attitude who wants to learn within and contribute to a growing English wine company.

The job role, reporting into the Assistant Winemaker will include: pressing, forklift work, juice clarification, additions, lab work, blending, cleaning, filtration. It would also include a supervisory role during harvest.

Previous experience working in a winery is essential. Forklift experience would be an advantage but not necessary as training will be provided. You will need to have the right to work in the UK as we cannot sponsor visas.

Normal hours of work are 0830-1700 Monday to Friday but there may be some extended hours at busy times such as bottling and the possibility of night shift during harvest. Start date of late February.
