Our Beverages team focuses primarily on wine and supplies products within Exclusive Brands, Producer labels and Asda Brand. We are the largest supplier of wine to ASDA, adhering to the highest technical standards within the industry and having successfully sourced a number of award winning wines.

We source from all around the world for Asda and also supply to other Walmart markets, predominantly in Asia. The business owns and runs a purpose built packaging site in Snetterton Norfolk, this allows us to control quality, reduce environmental impact and improve savings to customers. 

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Specifications advisor to join the IPL team at our Snetterton site. The successful candidate will ensure that specifications are completed accurately and correctly by IPL’s wine suppliers, with a focus on ensuring that the specifications comply with legal requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the commercial and technical function with completion of specifications through working with suppliers and liaising with the appropriate stakeholders to ensure satisfactory specification completion.

• Support cross-functional projects, where required, within the beverages business unit to facilitate the successful delivery of the beverages strategy.

• Engage with the Asda Technical Team to ensure that there is an effective and efficient working partnership.

• Ensure that the specifications entered onto the HIVE (Asda specification system) are correct and legal and support the suppliers in, entering this information. In addition to IPL specification management

• Accurate specification completion

• Supporting suppliers in completion of the specifications

• Working with the commercial team to ensure that specifications are completed in a timely manner

Experience/Skills Required:

• Computer literacy – Microsoft Office.

• Legal label training

• Awareness of wine regions and varietals

• Attention to detail and ability to focus for extensive period of time
