Tasting House is an independent business, established right in the heart of Reading Berkshire since 2013. We are a hybrid type operation, serving an extensive selection of wines for both the off-trade and on-trade, as well as a fantastic selection of food 7 days a week. We operate our on-trade service mainly through the Enomatic system, where we have an ever-rotating line up of quality wine.
We also run regular tasting events and work in collaboration with a fantastic coffee operator to serve hot drinks, cakes and pastries throughout the daytime.
We are a small close-knit team with an obsession for providing great service in a friendly and relaxed manner.
What Are We Looking For?
- A person to assume responsiblity during times when the other members of managment are not present.
- A friendly, confident person with a great personality that wants to engage with customers.
- Someone with a real love for wine and a passion for food.
- A hard working attitude and not afraid to get involved in all parts of the business.
- Someone who is looking for part-time work in hospitality, but with a point of difference, to cover 2-3 evening shifts a week (we are flexible on this), including one evening at the weekend (16-22 hours)
- A person who is confident to lead by example.
- Someone who can contribute and help to evolve the business.
Skills Required:
- Hospitality experience.
- Supervisory or management experience
- A strong interest in wine.
Skills Preferred:
- WSET Level 2 or similar wine qualification.
- Someone living in close proximity to Reading
