Here at Virgin Wines, we've set our sights on becoming the UK's leading drinks retailer, taking the same approach to our years of experience of sell artisan wines and now sell a huge range of craft beers and spirits.

Reporting to the Sales Manager, we are looking to recruit determined and driven B2C telesales executives to join our successful team. The Wine Advisor team function is to reengage, build strong relationships and positively influence existing customers of Virgin Wines. You'll be working as part of a dynamic and vibrant business unit, whose role is focussed on developing excellent customer relations, offering customers interesting solutions and to encourage repeat business. Successful candidates can look forward to growing their career over time in a fun and stimulating environment.

The package includes a competitive salary with uncapped commission, realistic OTE earnings in the first year are 30k+. You'll benefit from wine incentives, 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays, funded WSET qualifications, staff discounts on wines, beers and spirits. Company parties are twice a year and you might even bag yourself a visit to one of our winemakers.

  • You'll be comfortable making a high volume out of outbound calls and closing case sales in real time via telephone.
  • You'll take pride in offering the highest levels of service, creating rapport with customers and managing their accounts ongoing.
  • You'll take part in our wine tastings around the UK.
  • You'll be keen to learn, both by taking (funded) WSET courses and by learning about and tasting (hard job!) our range on a regular basis.
Your Skills:
  • A proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets in previous roles is essential.
  • A skilled objection handler.
  • Active listening skills - understanding customer needs and able to offer appropriate solutions.
  • Self-motivated - able to manage your time effectively and take personal responsibility for meeting and exceeding targets.
  • A strong work ethic, enthusiastic and able to work under pressure.
  • An interest in wine would be beneficial but not essential.
  • A proven track record (2+ years) of meeting and exceeding sales targets in previous roles is essential.
  • Excellent written communication.
