Business Account Executive- Off Trade Accounts (Wine Jobs: Sales & Marketing)

We have an exciting opportunity for a Business Account Executive to join our team based in Irlam, Manchester. This is a permanent, full time position, working 37.5 hour per week, Monday-Friday.

Kingsland Drinks is a well-established premier independent UK supplier of wine and spirits specialising in providing a complete category solution.

The Business Account Executive Role:

The successful application will effectively support the commercial off trade channel team, with particular focus on assisting the development of Aldi, Lidl, Majestic, Waitrose, M&S, Sainsburys, and Wine Society accounts.

The Business Account Executive will support the account controllers to help deliver budgetary targets and commercial KPi’s, whilst helping to develop new sales opportunities to drive further growth. The Business Account Executive will be a key point of contact for both the customer and internal colleagues, acting as the primary support from an admin, product set up and customer contact perspective. The Business Account Executive will, from time to time, attend customer facing meetings and will act as account cover when the account controllers are out of the business. 

Key responsibilities as our Business Account Executive will include:

  • Establishing and developing excellent relationships across all key customer teams and buying departments
  • Establishing strong relationships with the key Kingsland departments across wine buying, marketing, supply chain, technical and operations
  • Dealing with any customer queries or requests
  • Supporting the account controller to prepare accurate reports, budgets, business plans, and provdining accurate commercial input 
  • Coordinating the implementation of price changes, including stock management and implementation dates both internally and with the customer
  • Coordinating the implementation of new product launches
  • Maintaining a good level of market and competitor knowledge by means of regular store visits and reading of relevant trade publications
  • Representing the company at Trade events and fairs as and when required
  • Supporting the administration of tenders received 
  • Producing and presentaing the weekly account KPI progress report
  • Liaising with the planning department regarding any planning changes that are required due to potential out of stock
  • Being the main point of contact to ensure uninterrupted levels of service, information and service both internally and externally when account managers are unavailable or out of the office

Skills required as our Business Account Executive:

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a previous sales/customer interface role
  • Of Graduate Calibre or equivalent
  • PC literate (word, excel, PowerPoint, e-mail/outlook) and pervious SAP experience would be advantageous
  • Previous FMCG experience is desirable
  • Previous wines & spirits experience is desirable
  • Strong communicator
  • Exposure to working for a team of sales people
  • Good commercial skills and awareness
  • Ability to project manage
  • Proven team player
  • Hard working and a willingness to learn from others
  • Self-motivated, organised and disciplined
  • Flexibility and adaptability is essential
  • Full UK driving licence as there is a requirement to travel to customer meetings and stay over night from time to time
