We have an exciting opportunity available for a Key Account Manager to join our  Ten Locks team looking after the Southern region and London. This is a permanent, full time contract working 37.5 hours per week, Monday- Friday. 

This role is to join Ten Locks, a sister company to Kingsland Drinks focusing on premium drinks brands with a focus on spirits. Kingsland is a well-established premier independent UK supplier of wine & Spirits specialising in providing a complete category solution.

The Key Account Manager Role:

The Key Account Manager will be responsible for the London area representing the premium Ten Locks portfolio. Having launched in 2020, this business is a start-up business that are looking for entrepreneurial, driven individuals who will benefit from many opportunities for progression as the business grows.The Key Acconut Manager will dedicate their time to maximising the potential offered by new and exciting drinks trends, as customers become more sophisticated in their choices and knowledge. The Key Account Manager will build upon this momentum to provide ongoing profitability in the drink’s arena.

Future role responsibilities could include management as the business grows and more candidates are recruited.

Key responsibilities as our Key Account Manager will include:

  • Building awareness of the Ten Locks brand and sales growth in each given territory
  • Representing Ten Locks' entire portfolio in the South and to promote the company, its values and its brands at every opportunity 
  • Working with all National and Regional wholesalers to gain new listing and leads in the South
  • Executing and launching events, tastings, and trainings in the South, building each brands reputation
  • Completing a minimum of one on premise training sessions a month on Ten Locks brands
  • Executing initiatives to generate brand visibility and awareness and delivering training on the Ten Locks brands and products
  • Responsible for sales growth in the South On trade focusing on regional groups and key influencers to drive volume and value, and opening up new territories and saturating key built up areas and looking for new areas of growth and resources to invest in
  • Opening up new accounts in the area and signing customers into volume agreements and growing advocacy
  • Opening up a number of new retail accounts, gaining new listings on portfolio brands and growing sales in each account.
  • Organising in store samplings at key periods of the year.
  • Working collaboratively alongside the Ten Locks Account Managers to ensure sufficient communication and information sharing

Skills required as our Key Account Manager:

  • Previous experience in the spirits arena is essential
  • Degree level education or similar discipline
  • Excellent planning, organisational and communication skills
  • Flexible and driven with an ability to work at pace and purpose
  • Good attention to detail
  • Creative problem solver
  • Competent and confident with modern I.T. systems, including Microsoft Outlook and Excel
  • Commercial discretion and confidentiality is important especially when dealing with sensitive information from suppliers and customers
  • Candidate must demonstrate an enthusiastic and passionate attitude
