We have an exciting opportunity available for a Night Shift Quality Auditor to join our team based in Irlam, Manchester, This is a full time permanent role working 42 hours per week on a 4 on/ 4 off 12 hour night sahift pattern (6pm-6am)

The Night Shift Quality Auditor Role
To Night Shift Quality Auditor will perform quality audit checks of all in-process products, finished products, factory fabrication, procedures, and other various functions across the business. The Night Shift Quality Auditor will provide technical support and assistance as required to the production team and will ensure that all products are processed in accordance with the specification to meet the demands of the bottling programme.
Key responsibilities as our Night Shift Quality Auditor will include:
- Assisting in the training of all on-the-line staff through auditing production paperwork against the specification
- Monitoring the legality of volume filling throughout the Production function
- Conducting on-the-line training to comply with BRC and ISO9001: 2000
- Ensuring all documentation and records are maintainede to the highest standard
- Conducting internal audits of various functions across the business to ensure compliance with standards
- Maintaining hygiene and housekeeping standards in accordance with the requirements of a food manufacturing environment
- Collating samples for customers and shelf life purposes
- Reccomending support, and introducing improvement initiatives in relation to team and factory performance
- Maintaining a high level of both product and personal safety in accordance with HSE, EHO, and HMCE requirements, ensuring adherence to all legislative requirements
- Controlling production packs to ensure the production team always have the most recent data available
- Liaising with suppliers on technical matters relating to their packaging
- Maintaining HACCP within the business to ensure employess conform to specified procedures
- Liaising with customers and their pary external auditors
- Controlling non-conforming products
- Liaising with the Laboratory to ensure the needs of the bottling programme are met
- Liaising with the Engineering Department regarding equipment failures
- The Night Shift Quality Auditor will be subject to working in the following conditions: Wet floors, fluctuating temperatures, and noise. The role of Night Shift Quality Auditor has a large scope for working unsupervised and under your own initiative.
Skills required as our Night Shift Quality Auditor:
- Good general education- G.C.S.E or equivalent as a minimum
- It would be desirable to possess at least the Wines and Spirits Educational Trust Certificate
- Excellent administration and communication skills
- The ability to maintain a high level of discipline with the daily compliance of hygiene standards and product quality adherence
- IT skills to support and enhance the manufacturing performance
- The ability to motivate and develop staff
- A proven track record of Team working and continuous improvement objectives
- Basic Food Hygiene certificate (Level 1 or 2 as a minimum)
- Basic health and Safety ceritifcate (e.g. IOSH)
- Experience of internal and external audits
- Experience of conducting Risk Assessments
