We are currently recruiting for a full-time Wine & Spirits Trainer. The main role is to drive Enotria&Coe’s profitability by improving the sales mix through education and evolving relationships with our customers to highlight E&C as a market leading drinks supplier and award winning training team. The Wine & Spirits Trainer will carry out all forms of wine and spirits training, including WSET and our Serving Wine/Spirits with Confidence courses, and assist with presentations and course development to potential and existing customers in line with channel strategy. 

The position requires coordinating the administration of the WSET courses and therefore close liaison with the Wine and Spirit Education Trust along with the Sales teams, customers and Accounts. 

  • Organise and run all forms of external staff training for customers:WSET courses
  • Organise and teach Level 1 Award in Wine, Level 1 Award in Spirits, Level 2 Award in Wines & Spirits and Level 2 Award in Spirits courses at Enotria Head Office and satellite sites to both employees and customers
  • Liaise with Sales Account Managers in order to offer customers access to Level 1 and Level 2 qualifications and arrange invoices and recharging for course fees where applicable and check all contracted places have been supported
  • Create Purchase Orders to order all materials from the WSET within the deadline for all courses and liaise with Accounts to identity the correct invoices
  • Maintain and update the WSET Candidate List and ensure the receipt of completed booking forms
  • Confirm course details to candidates in advance of course and send out study packs where necessary
  • Keep all wine and spirits lists up to date with the correct vintages and detail required
  • Send out certificates and log all results  
    • Liaise with Account Manager or customer to define the location, time, type of training and numbers attending
    • Carry out all related administration tasks such as arranging location, date, travel, preparing and distributing study materials and ordering wine
    • Feedback to Account Manager and discuss follow up training support/recommendation  
  • Bespoke and ‘Serving Wine or Spirits with Confidence’ (Enotria&Coe written courses)
  • Work with the Buying, Marketing & Retail Director and the Wine Training Manager to review and develop the current training courses offered to customers and, if needed, look to develop new courses. 
  • Promote E&C’s training using Twitter and other forms of internal and external PR.
  • Attend internal tastings and educational sessions in order to keep portfolio knowledge up to date and at the required level.
  • Provide support when able and where necessary at trade fairs and tasting events. 

Candidates will be educated to degree level, have training/teaching experience, achieved their WSET Advanced certificate and their WSET Educator certificate.  Candidates will also have experience of working in either a bar, restaurant or pub. A WSET Diploma is highly desirable.

  • Ability to use Adobe Creative suite: InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator is desirable but not required
