An opportunity has arisen for a Warehouse Supervisor to join our busy Warehouse & Distribution team. Reporting to our Route Planner, this role will have responsibility for the following:
People Management
- Supervise the early morning picking operation including:
- Assisting with planning of staff rotas
- Ensure picking accuracy and efficiency
- Assisting with co-ordination of unloading and put away of daily replenishment stock
- Coordinating van loading
- Implement continuous improvement ideas with warehouse staff
- Assist in leading team meetings and briefings
Warehouse
- Picking and preparation of orders for despatch
- Vehicle loading and unloading (hand ball and forklift)
- Liaison with Customer Services, and other internal departments, to ensure all queries/customer enquiries are resolved within service levels
- Ensuring service standards are maintained, work processes are followed, and are continually monitored to be improved
- Communicating issues for handover to the afternoon team
Health & Safety
- Ensure the team works in accordance with Company Health and Safety policies and procedures
Skills & Experience:
- Experience in supervising and motivating a team
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Pro-active, and able to manage and plan their own and others work
- Exceptional team work, and ability to communicate with employees at all levels of the company
- Articulated Fork Lift Licence desirable but not essential
- Computer literate
Hours:
- Monday to Friday 2.30am – 11.00am
- Possible variable shift pattern during the week with voluntary overtime during peak periods
Salary & Benefits:
Salary is dependent on experience, with the following:
- Discretionary personal bonus of up to 5% of basic salary based on performance against key objectives
- Participation in discretionary Company bonus scheme
- 22 days holiday rising to 25 days
- Stakeholder pension scheme
- Travel insurance/Discounted wine
