About us
We are a small specialist wine importer with an eclectic portfolio. We buy all our wines directly from the producers, mostly in Europe, and have an enviable reputation for the quality of our wines and for the service we give our customers. Our customers include top Michelin starred restaurants as well as independent retailers, national chains and private collectors. We’re based in West London.
The role
We are looking for a diligent and focussed person to join our small team in a key role which covers two main areas.
You will be assisting our Sales Team with getting wines delivered to our customers . You will be processing sales orders each morning and despatching wines all over the country. You’ll be in regular contact with our customers and logistics partners to manage order queries and delivery issues. You’ll be managing stock reserves for important customers and keeping everyone informed about new wines and vintage changes. You will be working closely with our logistics and purchasing team to manage stock continuity and vintage changeovers.
You will also be helping us develop and implement our Marketing strategy. You’ll be helping to organise tasting events and visits from suppliers. You’ll be working on our website and social media to keep in contact with suppliers and customers. You’ll be involved in managing customer relations and ensuring that we are communicating effectively with our various contacts
This is a very varied role and a great opportunity to make a real contribution to sales and marketing in a successful and growing wine business.
We see this as a full-time office-based role; 37.5 hours per week in our West London office.
Skills and experience
Firstly, you will need to have a keen interest in wine and some technical knowledge.
The other key requirement is for close attention to detail and a methodical approach to complex processes. You will be able to demonstrate a logical analytical mind, but you also need to show a practical hands-on approach to trouble-shooting.
You need to be an excellent communicator in spoken and written English. You will express yourself confidently and clearly. You will also be responsible for producing copy for the website and social media, so your standard of written English needs to be exemplary.
You need to be equally comfortable working independently and as part of a team. You need to have initiative but you also need to recognise when you need support or advice.
You will be able to show evidence of strong IT skills. The main programmes we use are Sage, Microsoft 365 and our third party warehouse’s in-house system. For Marketing we use Mailchimp and Wordpress, and experience with these, or similar programmes, would be a significant advantage.

A competitive salary based on experience plus the opportunity to participate in our company bonus scheme. We are open to varying levels of previous experience and the salary will reflect this, but the bottom end of the scale would be £25,000.
