The Opportunity
A vacancy has arisen at Winebuyers for a Sales Executive. We are offering an exciting opportunity for the right candidate to fast track their Sales career in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment in Soho, right in the heart of London. Winebuyers is a rapidly growing e-commerce start-up (having doubled in size in the last 12 months) so it really couldn’t be a more exciting time to join our team. The successful candidate will be enthusiastic, hard-working and looking to make a real impact on the company’s growth and evolution and expand their knowledge of the FMCG sector. To succeed in this role you must be target driven, analytical and good with numbers. Perks include a modern office right in the heart of Soho, attending industry events and regular wine tastings.
Responsibilities
Assisting the Head of Sales in organising and delivering sales campaigns, specifically: using your own initiative, being highly attentive, keeping emails up to date, making polite and efficient sales calls, working alongside the marketing team in order to convert leads to sales.
- Database management, implementation and reporting
- Processing sales information and transforming it into easily readable formats.
- Successfully create business from new and existing customer accounts
- Manage complex negotiations with senior-level executives
- Build rapport and establish long term relationships with customers
- Maintaining the Winebuyers sales database
- Act as a brand guardian while attending industry events
- Undertake customer care and acting on positive and negative feedback
- Maintain and update information to enable management and tracking of sales activity
- Provide regular reports and reviews of sales and KPI’s to the Head of Sales, using these statistics to influence future sales activity
- Keep abreast of new industry technologies and trends within the wine industry and include them in sales pitches
- Attendance at relevant exhibitions and wine tasting events
Requirements
- Good analytical skills
- Minimum 2:1 BA degree in English, Maths, Economics, Business or a similar
- Good command of French, Spanish or Portuguese
- Good understanding of how sales operate within a business
- Previous work experience in sales and target driven role is highly desirable
- Awareness of the key concepts of marketing and how these affect sales results
- Wine and spirits knowledge is an advantage and a keen interest in wine is desired
- Sound understanding of GDPR
