An established drinks importer and wholesaler with multiple retail sites are looking to employ a Purchasing Assistant at their head offices in North East London. Working closely with the company’s senior management team and buyers you’ll be solely responsible for placing all international and domestic orders. You’ll also be the direct point of contact for all producers and shipping agents. As an integral member of the customer service and logistics team you will need a hands on and flexible attitude.

 

Essential skills

·         Experience of logistics and forecast planning.

·         Experience in being responsible for a significant stock holding budget

·         Accurate & detail conscious.

·         Strong organisational skills

·         Able to handle pressure and conflicting deadlines.

·         Excellent customer service skills with the ability to build strong relationships with producers and customers.

·         Strong IT skills with a high level of proficiency in Excel.

 

Desired Skills

·         Commercial acumen

·         Experience with database and stock management systems

·         WSET qualification and fluency in French preferred but not essential

Salary £24k + dependent on experience
