Launched in November 2018, Club Oenologique (Club O) is an upscale media brand dedicated to bringing together the very best in wine and spirits, gastronomy, travel and lifestyle. Targeting wine & spirit collectors, cluboenologique.com is a consumer website and is home to news, reviews and stories of the very finest wines and spirits, the majority of which we try to make exclusive to Club O.

Established in 1969, The IWSC is the go-to platform for having wines or spirits tasted and reviewed by leading decision-makers from both the off- and on-trade, as well as by key influencers. Iwsc.net is a practical and functional website for the trade to take part in the IWSC and read the latest news about the IWSC and our results. Under the name ‘Handpicked by IWSC’, targeted at consumers, Club O features a selection of wines and spirits reviewed by our IWSC experts, covering everything from everyday drinking to the classics, unknown gems to young guns.

The role of Marketing Manager is to get our messages across to our target audiences. The ideal candidate will find creative ways to truly engage, tell our story, and ultimately generate sales. Besides developing the classic on and offline marketing channels, we are looking for someone who is a fountain of ideas and unafraid to get her/his hands dirty to execute them.  

 

We are looking for an ambitious and forward-thinking Marketing Manager to create the marketing strategy – on and offline - and manage and implement the day-to-day marketing activities and marketing campaigns across 2 brands IWSC (B2B) & Club Oenologique (B2C). Key responsibilities are:

 

Marketing plans

  •  Ownership of strategic and tactical marketing plans to best reach our target audience and meet our KPI objectives.
  • To lead on the development and delivery of marketing strategies and campaigns that are customer-centric, drive growth and provide maximum ROI.
  • To create and implement delivery of plans to attract new and retain current customers through a variety of channels including email, PPC and social media campaigns.
  •  To establish a voice in the market, brand guidelines, messaging and value proposition.
  • To promote and manage brand strategy and development to increase brand awareness both internally and externally.
  • To ensure marketing activity aligns with the sales, to provide inbound sales opportunities within the sales strategy.
  • To work closely with the sales team and to deliver KPIs, sales goals and to establish new streams of revenue.
  • To manage the marketing budget.

Client attraction and retention:

  • To establish links to attract new clients, track marketing campaigns ROI, and communicate all results effectively.
  •  To prioritise and implement personal and tactical approach around customer segmentation in digital marketing campaigns.
  • To identify and secure partnerships with 3rd party partners, ambassadors, PRs, and media to maximise opportunities, brand awareness and growth.

Marketing Content (IWSC only):

  • To create and implement a content strategy to promote our IWSC winners.
  • To ensure digital and social media content is engaging and relevant to our target audience.
  • To work with contributors and the Content team to create and commission engaging content for websites, and social media channels.
  • To turn our IWSC results into engaging stories and recommendations which are search engine optimised.
  • To understand what audiences want, and how to create content with an editorial mindset.

This is a job for you if you are/have: 

  • A proven track record of developing and delivering multi-channel marketing strategies and campaigns.
  • Strong marketing delivery skills including data management, segmentation, and digital marketing.
  • Strong business and financial insight, including budget management and forecasting.
  • Excellent organisational, communication and leadership skills.
  • Evidence of improving marketing performance and positively impacting change.
  • People management experience, including mentoring and performance management.
  • An understanding of the latest marketing techniques and practices.
  • Excellent copywriting and editing skills.
  • Experience creating content for social media & web
  • Editorial tasks such as basic SEO understanding, content categorisation, structure & distribution.
  • 5 + years’ experience in a relevant marketing environment.
  • A keen interest in wine & spirit and well-connected to the industry.
