Position: Permanent, full time Monday to Friday
Salary and benefits: Salary based on experience, pension, 23 days paid holiday plus bank holidays
Working within Berkmann Wine Cellars Marketing team, the Marketing Assistant will be responsible for supporting the Antinori Brand Ambassador in all aspects of the day-to-day marketing activities.
The role will involve conducting marketing administrative tasks and trade and consumer facing activities, in addition to having frequent opportunities to organise and take part in tastings and events.
This is a wonderful opportunity for any aspiring wine Brand Manager and will provide an excellent first step on the Marketing ladder.
The applicant should have a genuine interest in and empathy for wine and will be comfortable developing relationships both internally with colleagues and also with our brand owners and principals. The applicant must be willing to travel locally and nationally and some evening and weekend work may be required.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES (INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO):
- Assisting Antinori Brand Ambassador on specific projects as required
- Planning and compiling copy and imagery for social media platforms and Berkmann website
- Completing instructions for tasks which will help to achieve the brand’s strategy
- Preparing PowerPoint presentations for internal (training for sales department) and external (business proposals with customers, reviews with brand owner, staff training) use.
- Producing reports for sales managers on a monthly basis
- Completing competition and market analysis on an ongoing basis
- Maintaining databases
- Assisting with the planning, preparation and management of events, tastings and trips in liaison with the relevant parties
- Maintaining the PoS Catalogue, processing sample orders and coordinating competition entries
- Communicating on a regular basis with the relevant parties regarding such things as customers’ visits and general requests
- Co-ordinating and monitoring the social media content for the Antinori brand across all the main platforms (Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn), including the recently re-launched Berkmann website
- Analysing data to aid the preparation of commercial and insight led presentations
KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE
- Formal education qualifications are less important than a proven track record; however education to degree level desirable
- Excellent written & verbal communication skills are essential
- Strong numerical and literacy skills
- Must be highly computer literate, with good knowledge of Microsoft Office (particularly PowerPoint and Excel).
- Experience of using design packages (Photoshop and Indesign) would be seen as a bonus
- Experience with analysing data and preparing presentations
- Languages: Fluent English / Italian preferredKeen attention to detail and strong organisational skills
- Being proactive; the ability to think on your feet and apply practical solutions and managing multiple projects is essential.

Working Pattern - This role is 37.5 hours per week (9am – 5.30pm), Monday to Friday. But it is expected that the successful candidate will work the hours necessary to fulfil the requirements of the job.
