Digital Communications Manager (Wine Jobs: Sales & Marketing)

Alliance are looking for a new Digital Communications Manager to take their digital marketing to the next level & be ‘best in class’. The role is focused on all digital activity across the business. This is a key role working closely with all other members of the marketing team as well as stakeholders in Buying and Sales. Being the digital voice for the business the role needs to be executed to a high standard with great attention to detail.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Social media

  • Creating copy, imagery, video and other content for social media posts across relevant platforms.
  • Ensuring our social media presence reflects the correct tone, positioning and intent.
  • Take ownership of the social media comms planner with input from Brand & Trade Marketing teams.
  • Providing analysis and reports on performance to improve reach and engagement.
  • Always looking to be innovative to continuously improving our digital comms.

Email marketing

  • Write and deliver all mass-email communications
  • Take ownership of the email comms calendar with input from Brand & Trade Marketing teams.
  • Providing analysis and reports on email engagement to help improve reach and provide leads and feedback to Sales
  • Develop it as a key tool to maximise sales as well as information provision.

Website management

  • Day to day management of the website controlling, editing and uploading content.
  • Ensuring all content is upto date, relevant and fit for purpose.
  • Maximise SEO to ensure positive user experience, grow site traffic, generate leads and build brand awareness.

Content Creation

  • Prepare copy, short video, imagery, podcasts for use across the business.
  • Bring creativity and excellence to content creation to reflect Alliance’s positioning and values.
  • Be innovative, always looking for something fresh and engaging to drive the digital function forward.

 

Skills and experience

  • Strong copywriting skills with an ability to convey engaging stories & information in a concise way (essential).
  • Experience managing social media accounts (essential).
  • Experience designing and delivering email campaigns (essential).
  • Experience using Adobe Creative Cloud or similar (essential).
  • Good project management skills, particularly with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines (essential).
  • Good knowledge of digital best practice around SEO principles (desirable).
  • Experience using Google Analytics or other analytics platforms to measure communications performance (desirable).

  • Organised. Excellent at prioritising, able to juggle multiple projects and milestones.
  • Strong attention to detail, able to spot errors and effective at proofing copy.
  • Creatively focused to create engaging content.
  • Able to flex between different sales channels understanding the different audiences.
  • Keen interest in innovation and approaches to content production – thinking of ideas to constantly improve the communication.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
  • Proactive, self-starting and solutions-focused.
  • Committed to championing audience needs and acting on feedback.
