Due to an internal move, the Jack Daniel’s UK team has an exciting opportunity for a brand marketer to join a very dynamic category working on the most iconic premium spirits brand in the world.

The Jack Daniel’s RTD (Ready To Drink) Brand Manager is responsible for managing the profitable growth of the Jack Daniel’s RTDs portfolio for the UK market. The RTD range is a key contributor to growth for the UK and is projected to keep a strong momentum over the next 5 years. The successful candidate will support the strategic thinking and lead the plan execution including the launch of NPDs in the UK while ensuring strong internal focus to deliver on the BF UK’s ambition for this part of the portfolio.

What You Can Expect:

Commercial Brand Management

Ownership of the brand’s RTDs portfolio P&L.

  • Monitor brand performance against sales forecasts. Determine corrective actions where necessary in conjunction with Sales and Customer Team Marketing counterparts.
  • In conjunction with BBI, Sales and Customer Marketing teams, understand & review market landscape (category, consumer, shopper) to better inform the context behind the brand's performance and highlight and scope out future growth opportunities.

A&P management and optimization for the RTDs business

  • Responsible for delivering post-evaluations of all brand-led spend across the portfolio, reviewing short and long term impact against agreed KPIs.
  • Ensure post-evaluations of all trade marketing led activities are taking place, and learnings are captured and implemented in next activations to develop highly visible and efficient activations.
  • In conjunction with the Finance team, oversee the monthly or quarterly reconciliation of portfolio A&P spend, to make sure that budgets are being spent according to forecasts. Identify & recommend possible re-allocations if necessary.

Developing and Executing Brand Plans

Planning

  • Support Marketing Manager with the development of a RTDs portfolio strategy for the market, looking at Pack, Pricing architecture & Innovation to help maximise growth over the next 5 years.
  • With support of the Marketing Manager, lead the annual Brand Business Plan process to deliver 3 years Top Line and Profit growth ambition defined in the RTDs portfolio strategy.
  • Ensure key consumer occasions are identified and brand strategies are clearly articulated and answering / delivering against opportunity or challenge presented.

Planning Innovation

  • With the support of BBI (Brand and Business Insights), identify local NPD rooted in consumer insights and/or identified category opportunities. Evaluate and size opportunity for the UK market, in collaboration with the cross functional team.
  • Work closely with the global team to make sure the market needs are included in the NPD process

​Brand Plans Implementation

  • Lead the briefing, development and implementation of any local brand creative, or global creative adaptation.
  • Lead the development of key brand campaigns which can be executed Through the Line and across channels by the Customer Marketing Team. Provide the Customer Marketing team with the tools to roll out, implement and adapt according to customers needs and requirements. Agree/Align on KPIs for such campaigns and resources to support.
  • Partner with the digital manager to develop fully integrated & digital first campaigns. Ensure those are BF compliant, leveraging the digital tools available internally and driving Jack Daniel’s RTD portfolio Digital Share of Voice forward. Make sure Test and Learn campaigns are in place, and rapidly scale up most engaging ones across the portfolio.

Business Partnering

  • Be the RTDs Global Brand Team interface. Influence global creative assets development so they are fit for purpose for the UK.
  • Work closely with the other Jack’s brand managers to develop an understanding of the overall trademark, and make sure that a portion of the full strength brand communication is dedicated to promote the relevant RTDs flavour.

We Are Looking For People Who Have:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing or related area or equivalent experience
  • Proven track record of successfully delivering brand growth in a highly competitive environment.
  • Previous experience of leading multiple agencies and cross-functional teams.
  • Commercial acumen, P&L literate
  • Prior experience in wine and spirits or FMCG industries
  • Prior experience in ready to drink or beer industry would be a plus
  • Prior experience of managing digital campaigns
