Ditton Wine Traders are established Fine Wine Merchants, buying and selling the world’s best wines, champagnes and spirits to a variety of clients all over the world. Based in SW18, we have a small and dedicated team, where due to growth and to our recent relocation to London various positions have become available.
This role is to look after our UK private clients. It’s not a new role, but since we have focussed on trade customers in recent years, our existing private client base has been somewhat overlooked.
This is primarily a sales role: finding out preferences, suggesting new wines, sending out regular offers, re-kindling a relationship with our existing clients and finding new customers. However, you also source your own wines, in close cooperation with the buyers.
We will consider candidates that have their own clients as well as those who start afresh. Reporting directly to the MD, this is an exciting role where you can really make a difference.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage and grow a portfolio of satisfied, loyal clients
- Delivering sales and gross profit targets
- Source your own wines in close cooperation with the buyers
- Recommend and help execute appropriate marketing and sales strategy.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- You will have experience trading fine wine in a similar role
- You have excellent communications and networking skills, verbal and written, resulting in lasting relationships with your clients.
- You are results driven and self-starting and you enjoy the entrepreneurial challenge of growing sales and meeting targets. You have a proven track record in delivering results.
- You have a positive can-do attitude, you enjoy working in a small team and have a desire to form a lasting part of it.
- Educated to a degree level
REMUNERATION:
Salary, bonus and possibly shares very much depend on your experience and whether or not you bring your own clients, but is targeted to attract very good candidates.
