The Role
Wine Owners operates a peer to peer trading exchange integrated with class-leading collection management.
The trading exchange is run by the trading desk. We are recruiting on the trading desk to improve post trade processing underpinned with a client relationship management ethos. the role involves the coordination and tracking of all post-trade, pre-settlement activities.
The performance of the role needs to reinforce the reputation of Wine Owners as an efficient and safe way to buy and sell fine wine, though efficiency of process management and excellent communication skills.
Indeed, proactive communication is a key part of managing the post trade process and informing clients of the progress of their trade at each step and every few days.
Clarity of client contact is massively helped if the person in this role is on top of each trade's progress. We have created specific technology to help with tracking. Each trade involves communication with 2 parties (buyer and seller) who both need to be informed of next steps.
Skills required
Well organised: With the potential for 300+ trades per month, the ability to manage multiple trading processes concurrently. As we are a low cost trading service, the more efficient we can be in managing the post trade workflows the better, assisted by excellent organisational skills.
Adept with technology: The post-trade workflow management and client communication system is based around dashboards with a series of activities generated per transaction that are arranged into sequenced blocks. Workflow management will take place in this admin system, so keeping the status of activities up to date, being able to stay on top of processes whilst waiting for a step to complete, and being able to prioritise each working day via the systems provided will underpin successful management of trades and positively affect the user experience.
Problem-solving: Flexibility of thought and providing feedback. Being clear about when to escalate and working with points of escalation to resolve issues.
Interpersonal communications: Role requires strong, natural communication skills with particular importance placed on confident, explicit and transparent communications with private client members. Goals are promoting efficiency of process and building confidence and trust: without which repeat trading is limited.
Team skills: natural team player, adaptable.
Numerate: Comfortable with basic calculations, sense checking numbers, generating invoices for storage clients.
Assertive: Calm and friendly character such that when chasing for payments or seller movements will achieve the desired outcomes without compromising client relationships.
