Turville Valley Wines – Stock Controller
Turville Valley Wines is a leading supplier of the world’s finest and rarest wines. Originally set up in 1979 to supply private customers and the UK Trade, the company now has customers across the world.
We pride ourselves on personally verifying & photographing the wine that we sell. As demand increases, so does our need to check the bottles and keep our stock numbers accurate. We are therefore recruiting for the role of Stock Controller, whose responsibilities will be split between warehouse visits and office-based administrative work.
The Role
Warehouse
· 1-2 visits per week to our warehouse located in Barking, Essex
· Photograph wines that have recently arrived
· Crop & save images to our database
· Note the condition of the wine and log the information in our database
· Authenticate wine where applicable
· Pick, pack, log & photograph orders for select export customers
· Review/monitor current packaging stock (boxes & dividers) and advise when re-ordering is needed
Office
· Keep abreast of stock due-in
· Prepare list of wines to photograph and verify
· Keep track of additional photo requests to ensure they are completed on next warehouse visit
· Ensure stock management software is updated following warehouse visit
· Ensure images are correctly formatted & uploaded
· Receive stock into our database once arrived at the warehouse
· Monitor stock position, notifying line manager of discrepancies

The successful candidate will be:
· Comfortable with manual/physical labour
· Careful to treat all bottles with utmost care
· Comfortable using a camera and photographical software
· Comfortable working with a stock management system
· Diligent
· Detail-orientated
· Resourceful & take initiative
· Hard-working
· Conscientious
· Passionate about providing great service both for customers and to the team
· Have a full and clean driving license (car owner preferred)

Monday to Friday 8.30am to 5pm or similar
