Sales Account Manager (Wine Jobs: Sales & Marketing)

Roebuck Estates owns and manages a collection of vineyards in exceptional locations throughout Sussex. We are a rapidly expanding company committed to producing the highest-quality English sparkling wines and taking these wines to a global audience. This position is a pivotal role within the business, reporting directly to the General Manager. The Sales Account Manager will manage and develop business predominantly within a target base of London and the South East, growing distribution and in turn revenue through direct sales and building brand awareness.

 

Primary duties and responsibilities to include;

  • Support and develop existing business ensuring that customer plans are built and executed, maximising sales opportunities.
  • Give a renewed focus to existing prospects to encourage new listings and identify missed opportunities.
  • Work towards sales and new business targets with a view to both achieving and exceeding them.
  • Take responsibility for the service delivered to customers and ensure we are doing all that we can to alleviate any concerns or issues.
  • Visit accounts and prospects at an appropriate frequency to ensure customers are satisfied, are being retained and service standards are being maintained.
  • Work closely with the Marketing department to present our wines and brand in the best possible light at all times.
  • Be an ambassador for our wines maintaining a professional manner across both personal and work-based networks.
  • Work proactively with the management team to ensure accurate reporting and effective analysis of data.
  • Exhibit work and communicate in a timely and presentable manner to both colleagues and customers alike.

 

Qualifications, experience and key behaviours required;

  • At least 3 to 5 years in a customer facing sales role within the wine trade
  • Experience in preparing and hosting tastings
  • WSET Level 3 (Advanced Certificate) or above
  • Advanced knowledge of Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
  • Good presentation and inter-personal skills
  • Commercially astute
  • Presentable and professional
  • Organised, self-motivated, flexible, reliable and results driven
  • A proven track record of success in a similar role
  • The right to work in the UK
