Dry Goods Stock Controller (Wine Jobs: Management & Administration)

Main Purpose

We are looking for a committed, self-starting Stock Controller, to support the efficient operation of Stock Control in the Dry Goods department, ensuring that all processes are completed within the agreed standards and time scales.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring stock is available and allocated to orders in a timely and correct manner.
  • Ensuring the processing of all system movements, including goods receipts and internal movements, are completed and confirmed in a timely manner.
  • Performing regular and accurate stock counts, via cycle counts and bi-annual counts. Investigating, process and report any discrepancies.
  • Ensuring the correct recording and rotation of stock, including duty status, lot marks and best before dates.
  • Monitoring stock levels, including outside storage locations, and arrange for the transfer of stock to/from outside store.
  • Carrying out the prompt and accurate processing of GRN’s, returning stock to SAP and informing QC of any quality issues.
  • Identifying and monitoring stock that is unfit for sale, and arranging for a suitable resolution, i.e. rework/disgorge/disposal.
  • Ensuring QC stock is relocated to the relevant holding area.
  • Ensuring damages are processed and removed from systems.
  • Providing cover for key roles within the Dry Goods Dept.
  • Providing support to the Dry Goods Manager to manage the day-to-day operation.
  • Assisting and liaising with managers and staff of other departments.

Person Specification

The successful candidate will be a good communicator, with a keen eye for detail, and have the ability to prioritise workload in a pressurised environment. You will be IT literate, with knowledge of SAP, Excel, Word, Outlook and Warehouse Management Systems. Experience within FMCG Supply Chain disciplines, Distribution, Customer Services, and Warehousing are essential.
