The Bottle of Hastings is an ambitious new company which is launching a new retail location and online shop in late May 2022. The Bottle of Hastings will stock approx. 200 wine titles at a range of price points and aims to provide a superior quality customer experience in traditional, but forward thinking physical and online retail environments.

The Store Assistants will support the Store Manager to take care of the day to day running of the shop and website as well as retail sales and drink in hospitality service.

Store Assistant Attributes:

• Excellent communication and customer service skills

• Strong ability to build rapport with customers and advise on wine purchases at all levels.

• A high level of integrity, reliability and trustworthiness together with a positive, driven and self-motivating attitude.

• A good degree of common sense, as well as the ability to problem solve and be flexible where required.

• A smart, professional image and attitude coupled with a warm, friendly manner and a sense of humour.

• A demonstrable passion for and good knowledge of wine

• A willingness to work evenings and weekends on a regular basis.

• Experience of working in a similar environment

 

Job Description

 

• Open and close the shop as required, using agreed opening and closing routine/checklist

• Customer sales

• Drive customer sign up to database and loyalty schemes

• Customer comms - emails, phone, social media

• Pick orders for collection and delivery

• Ensure high standard of cleanliness and hygiene is maintained in shop and other areas of premises

• End of day reporting / cash up
