The Guildford Wine Company was established in 2006 and is a leading independent wine merchant in Surrey with a sister shop in Grayshott, Hampshire. We are looking for a manager for the Shalford shop initially with the potential to manage both shops eventually.
This is the ideal position for either an experienced Assistant Manager to progress to their first Manager position, or for a current Store Manager in a national retail business looking to further their career in the wine trade by getting a good grounding in the independent sector. Salary will commensurate with experience and be in line with similar positions nationally. Participation in the company pension scheme is offered.
The ideal candidiate will be educated to WSET Level 3 minimum. We pride ourselves on our excellent customer service and have a reputation for this in the local area. High standards will need to be demonstrated and maintained. A clean driving licence would be expected.
Hours are a standard 40 per week (typically 5 shifts of 8 hours) and no Sundays.
