Cellar Door Assistant (Part Time)

Want to be part of a small but growing team at an award-winning English wine producer? We are looking for someone to join us at Greyfriars Vineyard on a part-time basis as a Cellar Door Assistant.

What you would do:

• Welcome visitors at our Cellar Door Shop and provide them with a wine tasting and talk on what we do at Greyfriars.

• Encourage Cellar Door sales and be proactive in developing relationships with our visitors.

• Assist the Cellar Door team with the organisation of tours and events as needed.

• Ensure the Cellar Door is always a presentable and attractive place.

• Maintain stock levels as needed.

• Fulfil retail orders as required.

• Assist with the odd bit of admin as required.

Who we are looking for:

• Someone who likes being around people and enjoys communicating with them.

• Someone who enjoys working both as part of a team and independently.

• Customer service and retail experience is preferred, with an interest in wine/WSET qualifications welcomed.

• You would need to be available to work most Saturdays between late April and early September between the hours of 9:30am and 5:30pm.

• Having a sense of humour and a strong work ethic would be very useful in this role.

• A native level of English is strongly preferred.

• You should be able to lift a case of wine (approximately 11kg).

The bottom line:

• Part-time temporary position (April – September) with the possibility of continuing outside of the main visitor season upon mutual agreement.

• Hours: Saturdays, 9:30am to 5:30pm.

• Start Date: As soon as possible.

• Pay: Hourly - Rate TBD based on experience.
