Regional Operations Manager (Wine Jobs: Vineyards & Cellars )

Vine-Works provide viticultural services to many of the UK’s leading vineyards across the country. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a large number of vineyards and experience the flourishing English Wine industry first-hand. 

Due to expansion as a business, we are looking to fill this exciting new role! 

Responsibilities: 

This multifaceted and dynamic role essentially has two parts: Viticulturist and Operations Manager (Regional).  


Viticulturalist would be responsible for managing multiple vineyards within your region. This role includes: 

  • Vineyard management and technical scouting

  • Report writing, budgeting and planning

  • Oversight of other Technical Scouts/Vineyard managers

  • Labour team Supervision on occasion

  • Vineyard consultancy


Regional Operations Manager would be responsible for planning, organising and overseeing daily operations at all our client vineyards within your region. 

  • Customer facing- client meetings, service sales

  • Forecasting/ calculating labour resources required

  • Training vineyard personnel

  • Direct and schedule overall daily activities of personnel and equipment including: tractor operations, spraying, winter pruning, summer canopy management and harvesting.

  • Department budgeting, forecasting and strategising

Skills and Qualifications: 

The ideal candidate should have great viticultural knowledge and good report writing skills along with strong computer skills. Excellent personal skills are required as this role is customer-facing and the candidate should be confident in managing large teams. The ability to work independently and competence to problem solve is essential. The role will include the gathering of field data using our own scouting protocol (training provided).

The ideal candidate should have several years viticultural experience and / or relevant qualification to degree level.
