Langham Wine Estate, winner of Sparkling Wine Producer of the Year 2020 at the International Wine & Spirits Competition, are looking for a Tasting Room Manager.
We are one of the most exciting, up and coming wineries in the UK. Known for pushing boundaries, and making a name for ourselves in the wine world for our distinctive, complex sparkling wines.
Our close-knit, dynamic team work hard to produce low intervention wine with grapes that are all grown on our single estate vineyard site just 15 minutes from Dorchester & Blandford Forum.
We’re looking for an enthusiastic multitasker to lead the Tasting Room and be at the heart of the Visitor Experience at Langham Wine Estate.
You will have:

A passion for wine, in particular English wine.

Admin and time management skills.

Strong team work skills and a willingness to learn. A keeness to get stuck in and take an interest in all areas of the business.

An existing knowledge of wine is preferable (ideally WSET level 2) however all elements of production happen on-site here at Langham, so there is always the opportunity to learn and expand your knowledge.

Experience in hospitality and/or customer service

Access to your own vehicle / ability to reach us in our rural location.
Duties to include:
Customer Service

Admin Tasks
|
Leading in-depth tours around the wine estate for groups of around 20 people.

Reporting to the Sales Manager to organise staffing and operations for the Tasting Room & Shop.

Creating, and maintaining, a welcoming and inviting atmosphere for all visitors to the estate.
|
Liaising with the café operator to ensure everything is in place for daily bookings & events.
|
Being the first point of contact for all customer enquiries and FAQs in regards to visiting the estate.
|
Organising the wine deliveries and despatches for our online orders.
|
Leading the sales aspect of the Tasting Room Shop
|
Cashing-up the shop till
|
Hours will be around 45 per week including some weekend evenings.
Salary circa £30k, dependent on experience
