Langham Wine Estate are producers of world-class English Sparkling Wines. We currently have a fantastic opportunity for a Tasting Room Manager to join our small team based close to Dorchester, Dorset. The chosen candidate will be responsible for delivering an exceptional customer experience and increasing sales.
Responsibilities
· Increase direct sales through tasting room, shows and events
· Manage tasting room including cash handling and presentation standards
· Organise and conduct tours
· Respond to customer enquiries
· Despatch orders
· Attend events both on and off the Estate
· General administration and office support
· Contribute to social media
· Trade account maintenance and training
Personal attributes
· An enthusiastic and outgoing individual who is self-driven and has the ability to use their own initiative
· Good communication skills essential
· Organised and efficient with attention to detail
· Willingness to attend external events and work weekends
· A demonstrable interest in wine, able to act as a brand ambassador and communicate our passion for English wines and Dorset produce
Required skills/experience
· Sales and customer service experience
· Strong people skills enabling good relationships and team working
· Good levels of numeracy
· Computer literate with good Microsoft office skills and confident with social media platforms
· Full, clean UK driving license essential; ability to tow a trailer desirable
· Experience of working in the wine trade and/or wine-related qualifications would be beneficial
This is a permanent, full-time position (but we would be open to candidates who want to work reduced hours) beginning with a 6 month probationary period.
