As a multi award winning winery, we pride ourselves ensuring the highest quality for our world renowned English sparkling wine. We are looking a motivated and organized individual, who shares our values, to join us as a cellar hand. The cellar hand works under the guidance of the assistant winemaker throughout the winemaking process (primary fermentation to bottling). A significant proportion of the role includes maintaining our cleanliness standards and records. 

 Main Job Functions

• Execution, monitoring and recording of all wine making processes including fermentations, blending and cold stabilisation.
• Tirage preparation and addition
• Basic understanding ( under supervision ) of  maintenance and repair of wine making process equipment
• Management of supplies and stock required for processes
• Maintaining the high standard of cleanliness and record keeping in the winery
• Standard laboratory testing and recording including TA, pH, spectrometry and SO₂ 

Experience required

• Some practical lab experience, ideally in a beverage industry
• Demonstrable interest and passion in the wine industry, ideally having gained a wine qualification
• MS office experience

A car is generally required due to the location. 

Candidates must have the right to work in the UK and be able to lift up to 25kg, work in confined spaces and work at height.
