Job Description
Customer Experience Team Member
Operational Sales
Bluestone is a boutique vineyard on the McConnell family farm in Wiltshire, established and run by brother’s, Toby and Nat.
10 acres of the 42 acre farm is planted to Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier grape vine varieties to produce premium grapes, from our “Grand Cru” site, which are destined for limited release English Sparkling Wines made in the traditional method.
We are aiming to become a niche and specialist sparkling wine producer, aligning ourselves with the English equivalent of the Champagne grower movement. We pay exquisite attention to detail in the vineyard, which is ultimately the most important part of the production process.
2021 was our first full year trading and it was a great success. In light of this excellent year and to match our ambitions we would like to expand our offering, specifically in the following areas; wine tourism, events, pop-up evenings and increasing shop opening hours.
In order to help us achieve this we are looking for a like minded individual who will contribute to Bluestone’s growth, fit in well with our small team and brand personality. Below is an example of roles and responsibilities you can expect to be participating in.
Role Title: Customer Experience Team Member (Sales)

Tasks:

Sell products in Cellar Door

Provide high quality customer service by assisting and advising customers with their purchases

Be engaging with customers: help to put across our values and passion

Keep track of stock
-
Stock ordering
-
Merchandising
-
Handling payments
-
Prepare and serve food and drinks
-
Attending and assisting at off-site events

Set up and clear down of tours, tastings and events

Identify opportunities to increase sales

Maintain cleanliness and tidiness of Cellar Door

Wash and polish glassware and tableware

General help with other tasks
Experience and Qualifications:

Job Role, Tasks and Responsibilities
The Vineyard Team Member role is responsible for supporting the Vineyard team. Your workload will be varied due to seasonality and business priorities. At times, you will be working independently and as part of a team.
It is key that you are willing to work outdoors in all weather conditions and available to work on some weekends, if required.
An example of roles and responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following:
Vineyard Operations
Canopy management work - bud rubbing, shoot selection, green harvesting, leaf stripping, harvesting, canopy wire work, clipping
General and basic grounds maintenance - mowing, strimming

Previous experience working in wine focussed environment

Competitive salary, dependent on experience
