Soho Farmhouse is a 100-acre estate and members’ club, set in the Oxfordshire countryside, located just outside of Chipping Norton. The site comprises of 40 log cabins spread around lakes, as well as the main Farmhouse and cottage, pools, a gym, Cowshed spa, tennis courts, cinema and paddock.Our drinks philosophy is based around consistency and quality, enabling us to deliver good, honest drinks, using the best ingredients. The Role…
As a Bartender you will take every opportunity to build connections with our members and wow them with your knowledge, skills and approach to service. To truly thrive in this position you will have patience, perseverance and personality, and be excited about creating and serving a variety of drinks.
Main responsibilities:
- Provide excellent customer service to everyone who visits the bar, anticipating the guests needs
- Have an outstanding knowledge of our wine and drink menus to provide detailed information on the flavours, ingredients, and allergies
- Offer recommendations on drinks to guests by listening to their preferences
- Mixing beverages using an extensive range of ingredients including liquor, bitters, soda, water, sugar, and fruits
- Taking accurate drink orders from customers or floor staff using Micros
- Keeping a well-stocked bar with an adequate supply of liquor, beer, wine, mixers, ice, napkins, straws, glassware, and other accessories
- Organising the bar area to streamline drink preparation and inventory
- Slicing, pitting, and preparing fruit garnishes for drinks
- Check membership cards, and customer ID to ensure they meet the minimum age requirements for consumption of alcoholic beverages
Flexibility to work shifts including evenings, weekends and bank holiday is required
