Simpsons’ Wine Estate is seeking a hard-working and energetic Warehouse & Sales Processing Operator to join its experienced team. This individual would be based at the winery in Barham. They will:

• exude a strong team-working ethos, as well as an ability to adapt quickly to new tasks
• have an excellent eye for detail and reasonable level of fitness
• be mechanically minded, with experience of working with machinery
• be numerically competent with a strong understanding of process flows
• hold a proficiency certificate for forklift operation
• be flexible in working extended hours when necessary

The job will consist of the following responsibilities:

• packing finished goods and order preparation for the sales team
• deliveries to trade & private customers
• receival, dispatch and storage of goods in the warehouse
• assisting the wine team with logistics around tirage, disgorgement and still wine bottling
• storage and management of dry goods associated with the above interventions
• operating a Mecamarc ‘Jade’ labelling and foiling machine
• stacking, loading and unloading riddling cages and stillages
• ensuring work areas and machinery are kept clean and tidy at all times
• occasionally assist with general tasks in the winery

Own transport is essential and we would request that the successful candidate lives within a reasonable distance of the winery.

Understanding of the beverage industry and competence in Excel will be positively viewed and salary will be commensurate with previous experience.
