We have an opportunity for a Procurement Assistant to join our Procurement Team at our Accolade Park site close to the M5 near Bristol.

About the role - Key Accountabilities
- To be responsible for issuing competitive tenders within the nominated supplier preferred supplier list and potential new suppliers and providing post tender analysis to the Procurement Manager.
- Assisting the Procurement Manager in preparation for supplier reviews, to include analysis of performance, quality and correct adherence to contractual terms.
- To be a point of contact to all internal stakeholders, to build cross functional relationships, to understand stakeholders business requirements and prepare scopes for pre-tenders and supplier reviews.
- Issuing of NPD label tenders and analysis of results with recommendations for contract awards.
- Attendance at packaging NPD meetings and liaise with the Procurement Manager for NPD tenders and quotations
- Manage the Supplier Contracts library – reviewing supplier draft contracts and marking up amendments prior to business sign off. Liaise with Legal department on contractual changes to T&Cs. Scan all signed contract documentation and signed contract execution documents. Log & file all contracts onto contract library register locally and email all documents to our central contract suppository in Australia. In advance of contractual end dates monitor deadlines for terminations and contract reviews periods.
- Preparation of contract Execution documents and arranging appropriate sign off with the General Manager for Accolade Park and Finance Managers for Weybridge.
About you
- You will have a track record of delivery in a fast moving diversified working environment with competing priorities and time scales. Ideally 2 years’ experience in a Junior procurement role. Advanced user of MS Office applications and experience of using a relevant ERP system preferably JDE. Previous experience of contract negotiation would be advantageous.
- Ideally you will have good analytical skills, effective communication skills, written & verbal together with attention to detail and able to demonstrate good influencing and negotiation skills. Experience in VA/VE methodologies. strategic sourcing principles and knowledge strong “Lean” awareness.
- Occasional travel to other locations including suppliers may be required.
