We have a vacancy for an Operations Supply Planner to join our team at our Accolade Park site in Bristol which employs over 500 people. Our Bristol site houses the largest bottling plant in the Northern Hemisphere bottling up to 1 million bottles of wine per day. It’s an exciting time to join us as we are investing £3 million into our Bristol site and have some exciting and innovative projects underway.

About the role

This is a varied role working in a busy function. This role ensures the delivery of an optimised supply plan for our bulk wine requirements. We import wine from our vineyards across the globe where we bottle it. This role is instrumental in ensuring we always have the right level of stock, minimising supply chain costs and optimising our customer service. You will have joint responsibility for our inventory holding in excess of £30m for a minimum of 7 manufacturing sites in Europe, The Americas and South Africa to name a few. Our demands constantly change so expect to work in a fast paced and changing environment.

You’ll be part of a fun and lively team who continuously look to improve efficiencies. You will own, issue and execute our regional operational model / supply plan on a weekly basis for our planning horizon of 20 weeks. You’ll have autonomy in this role and your voice will be heard. This role reports into our Regional Supply Manager. Your responsibilities include:

  • Handover of the Ops Model / Supply plan at the scheduling horizon to the relevant teams for review, agreement and sign off
  • Managing our Master Production Schedule (MPS) and the output of the supply plan to calculate the required production schedule based on parameters from our strategic planning team
  • Fully contributing to the monthly Supply Ops and planning process including regional and local supply reviews
  • Owning the weekly & monthly operation/supply/planning cycle routines
  • Managing the weekly exceptions process for reporting forward stock cover projections
  • Highlighting and escalating issues
  • Adding manual orders for items set up as push replenishment based on bulk wine availability
  • Weekly / monthly routines to review and manage open bulk / cased goods PO with internal and 3rs party suppliers
  • Ensuring that planning data is reviewed, maintained and updated

About you

Ideally you’ll have a background in supply chain planning. You’ll be highly computer literate and a whiz at Excel with the ability to create formulas, V look up and pivot tables.

You’ll ensure accuracy in absolutely everything you do, with experience of working on creating, managing and issuing a supply plan. You’ll be confident in making decision and have the ability to interact with colleagues in different countries and time zones.

Experience in working with external suppliers is important. You’ll be familiar with supply and operation chain processes and be eager to ensure we deliver a first class service to our clients. You’ll enjoy being part of a team and not afraid to find a better way – we are passionate about continuous improvement..  With a positive, can do attitude, you’ll be organised with great communication and prioritisation skills.
