EU Logistics Transition Manager – Bristol

This vacancy is for a 6 months fixed term contract.

About the role

We have a new opportunity for a EU Logistics Transition Manager to join our Operations Team at our Accolade Park site close to the M5 near Bristol. In this role:
You will manage the implementation of new ways of working for Logistics that result from new EU trading arrangements.
You will manage the implementation of alternative Warehousing and Distribution solutions based inside the EU.
You will develop, and set a clear set of standard operating procedures. You will develop and set defined benchmarks and key performance targets for new suppliers engaged as a result of Brexit. Working closely with key stakeholders at a senior level.

About the role – Key Accountabilities
  • Ensure that new ways of working are fit for purpose and mitigate Brexit risks
  • Work with internal and external customers at a senior level
  • Build strong working relationships with internal customers across functions and geographies
  • Build strong working relationships with external business providers
  • Manage the collation, analysis and publication of agreed KPI information
  • Monitor expenditure 
About you

Essential knowledge and skills:

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Excellent negotiation and analytical skills
  • Ability to work and influence in a cross functional team
  • Relevant IT system knowledge
Required experience
  • Demonstrable management experience in FMCG logistics or large 3PL
  • Experience within a fast paced distribution environment
  • Experienced in Contract/Supplier management
  • Experience of Warehousing and Distribution in the UK  
  • Experience of current customs arrangements/ requirements for shipping to the EU
  • Familiarity with current state of Brexit and its potential implications on Logistics to the EU (Desirable)
Required qualifications
  • Bachelors Degree 
  • International CPC –preferred

You will have the flexibility to work out of office hours to accommodate the occasional call with our Australian colleagues and have the ability to travel to our Weybridge site if required.
